Pulsarfinance: Payroll Timing With Pulsar Money Streams
Pulsar Money's Smart Transfers configure scheduled token releases for payroll and contractor payments. The first-payment percentage, release interval, and choice between cancellable and immutable streams shape when tokens are released and whether an unfinished stream can be cancelled.
Updated
The Smart Transfers guide describes the module as live on MultiversX and lists Starknet as a planned expansion. That rollout statement doesn't establish current Starknet availability.
Parameters that shape payroll timing
| Parameter | Documented setting | Meaning for payroll |
|---|---|---|
| Cliff Release Amount | A percentage of the total stream amount | Sets the portion released with the first payment. |
| Vesting Transfer Release Frequency | Releases every second, minute, day, week, month, quarter, or year, plus an option labelled "bi-monthly" | Sets the release cadence. Confirm the exact interval meant by "bi-monthly" before using it in a payroll schedule. |
| Stream Options | Cancellable or immutable | Determines whether the stream offers the documented cancellation mechanism. |
| Recipients | Manual selection or import from a .csv file | Identifies the recipients of the scheduled payments, including batch transfers. |
Conditional transfers must use criteria that can be expressed in a vesting payment. Pulsar Money documents recurring and batch transfers within the same module.
Cancellation before and during streaming
The cancellation setting affects a payment agreement that may end before all scheduled releases. For a stream configured as cancellable, cancellation before its start time returns the full deposit. During streaming, the smart contract calculates the amount already streamed and returns only the unstreamed portion. Those return rules shouldn't be assumed for an immutable stream.
Allocated funds and claimed payments
Employees can track the funds allocated to them separately from amounts already claimed. The Pulsar Money explorer provides transfer status and on-chain activity.
A release schedule describes the stream's timing rules. For transactions through the app, Pulsar Money's Terms and Conditions distinguish authorization, processing, and final settlement, and don't guarantee transaction timing. Network fees may still apply if a transaction fails or reverts, so a per-second release interval isn't a promise of a completed on-chain payment every second.
Business use through Pulsar Money's app requires separate agreement. Feature access also varies with the country, asset, network, provider policy, and verification status.
